Final Round Results of the Student Scientific Research Competition

Department Level Academic Year 2025 - 2026

On the morning of March 28, 2026, at Hall C, University of Industry Ho Chi Minh City, the Faculty of Law successfully organized the final round and awarded prizes for the Faculty-level Student Scientific Research Competition for the academic year 2025 - 2026. The event attracted the participation of lecturers and students from the Faculty of Law at HUIT.

The competition is a central academic activity, contributing to the enhancement of training quality, fostering a spirit of scientific research, critical thinking, and the ability to apply law in practice for Law students. After going thru rigorous selection rounds, 08 groups of students with outstanding topics advanced to the final round, presenting their reports before the judging panel with high levels of objectivity, fairness, and expertise.

The student groups presented many topics that are current, closely aligned with practical realities, and have a high level of scientific research, such as:
1. The crime of producing and trading counterfeit goods according to the provisions of the Vietnamese Penal Code in Ho Chi Minh City
2. The law on liability for damages caused by minors Laws on liability for damages caused by minors
3. Current laws on preventing and combating artificial intelligence (DEEPFAKE) impersonation technology in the context of digital transformation in Vietnam
4. The right to die in some countries around the world and its implications for Vietnam The right to die in some countries around the world and the practical implications for Vietnam
5. Crime of fraudulently appropriating property by means of online coercion The crime of fraudulently appropriating property by controlling people online.
6. Compensation for damage to honor, dignity, and personal reputation being violated Compensation for damage to honor, dignity, and personal reputation being violated
7. Preventing property fraud in Ho Chi Minh City Preventing property fraud in Ho Chi Minh City

After the lively presentations and speeches, the jury worked impartially to select the best topics. Final round results:
First Prize: Crime of producing and trading counterfeit goods according to the provisions of the Vietnamese Penal Code in Ho Chi Minh City by a group of students 14DHKTL01
Second Prize: The crime of fraudulently appropriating property by controlling people online by the 15DHKL10 student group and Current laws on preventing and combating artificial intelligence (DEEPFAKE) impersonation technology in the context of digital transformation in Vietnam, student group 15DHKL08
Third Prize: Preventing property fraud in Ho Chi Minh City by a group of students 14DHKTL01; Compensation for damage to honor, dignity, and personal reputation caused by the group of students 14DHKTL01; The law on liability for damages caused by minors of the student group 15DHKTL01 and The right to die in some countries around the world and the practical implications for Vietnam by the student group 15DHKTL01
Encouragement Prize: awarded to the student groups of classes 13DHKTL02, 15DHKTL02, 14DHKTL01, and 14DHKTL08
The winning teams received certificates of merit from the faculty and prizes. This is not only a well-deserved recognition of the students' research efforts but also a significant encouragement to promote the academic movement of the Faculty of Law.

The Organizing Committee sincerely thanks the attention and support of all faculty and students of the Law Department who contributed to the success of the competition. We hope that after the competition, the spirit and culture of scientific research will continue to spread, becoming a motivation for studying, training, and personal development for each student of the Faculty of Law at HUIT.
